Dissidia Final Fantasy is a game, made specially to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the FF franchise.

It is an action game, whereby selected heroes and villains from every FF (I to X) will be able to fight against each other for the ultimate title.

Ever wondered who will win if Squall fought Cloud? Or Sephiroth fought Tidus? Well, play with your friend and settle the score!

As with all new (or remade) Square games, Dissidia also comes with its own Limited Edition Bundle. The only problem is, this bundle is seriously LIMITED. Wonder how you can get your hands on it? (I'm not talking ebay you fool).

First, you gta stay in Japan.

Second, you gta be a Square Enix member.

Third, you gta submit your application within a one week window.

Forth, you gta be selected.

Fifth, after selection, your name will be put into a lottery system, whereby if you win,

Sixth, you get the right to buy it. =.=

PSP - An Outdated Review

This is my PSP. 2nd hand mind you. Got it thx to Don. ^^.

So the PSP allows users to game on-the-go, play movies, music, surf the net, and messenger etc.

With extra firmware, you can even use it to play your old PSONE games.

The latest version of the PSP (3000) also comes with a built in mic for Skype users.

With that said and done, my PSP Phat (1st gen), does not suck at all. In fact, it is the best device I have this past few years. If only I knew it was that good, I wouldn't have mind getting it earlier.

The first game I finished was God of War. It was awesome.

Am currently about to finish Star Ocean First Departure, after which I should be moving onto FF7 Crisis Core!

Nothing seems to be working out no matter how hard I try.

I hate it.

I try to see the good in everything, that light at the end of the tunnel, darkness just before the dawn, even that damn plant that manages to grow from the crevices of my wall and blossoms through it all.

Fark.

But when it all falls apart, I'm just thankful that I'm given another day. Even though it might be rotten.

And, just like all the other stubborn losers, I will rise again. Pick up that baggage, carry that weight, and try to make things work again.

Hennessy Artistry - Shayne Ward, The DEY, Until June

It was held at the Orange Club in KL, right behind Borneo Baruk Club.

Group shot before we went in. Sam brought along many many friends... -.-

See the amount of cocktails... I remember drinking the Shanghai and also the Miami... Not sure of the other names.

Shayne Ward was the final performance of the night. Until June was freakin awesome as Geoffrey can also testify. They were even better than their album. The DEY was abit draggy for we only really know one of their hits - Give You The World.

Among other interesting things was Sam passing out just before the show started and vomitting right after Shayne went on stage. Crazy fler drank over 10 glasses in the 1st 2 hours...

Had lots and lots of fun. Met lotsa new people. And watched 3 awesome performances live and close-up! XD

Won the tix during one of The Dark Knight roadshows. ^^

Went with Jye Wei after work. It wuz at Megamall. We were early.

Had to put on one of these temporary tattoos... -.-

Before masuk, had to hand over all forms of recording devices including our handfons... Haiz... Piracy...

After the movie, had to collect our HP's. Wuz wrapped in a plactic bag that made it look like crime evidence... lol

PS : This was the day Dawson touched down in the US. It wuz also one of the worst days of my life thx to something unjust that happend a few hours before the movie. Lucky JyeWei was there and I had the movie to save me from dying... -.-

And, after months of patience, I finally bought my 2007 album of the year. It was the best offer. Having both the original album, the B-sides, and also the concert DVD.

Definitely worth the wait!

What I'm Watching

Every year I choose a new season to follow. Last year, it wuz Chuck. This year, its Fringe!

I must say, I really love this series. It's a cross between Mythbusters and X-files. ^^. The only problem would be that creator JJ Abrams (Lost, Alias), might draggg the series into oblivion with its never ending mysteries... =/

I certainly hope not! Ratings so far are between 7 and 9 outta 10.

After recovering from the Writer's Strike, we have the 3rd season of Heroes, aptly titled Villians.

From what I've witnessed so far this season, Heroes runs the risk of stretching itself too thin, thus revealing too many plotholes.

This weeks episode shows that there is chance for it to redeem itself after a bumpy start.

I certainly hope it does. Enough with the future guys, fix the present. As they say, the people are fine, the world is f**ked. LoL

Ratings range from 6.5's to 8.5's outta 10 in my books.

The most promising season of 2008 - Prison Break. 7 episodes in and it has not broken stride.

Every episode is well engineered and orchestrated, and is certainly the best series I am watching this year. Every episode gets a 9/10 rating from me.

It's a pity they took a break this week. Makes me furious... I need my Scylla fix!!! =C

Terminator. Another series I picked up last year. So far, not bad. But a lil bumpy here and there with ratings between 6.5 and 9.

Wonder if they are gonna make this fit into next year's Terminator Salvation starring Christian Bale as John Connor... =S

Chucky Chuck. Not bad for a comedy series especially with *ahemm* Yvonne in it. ^^

Gets 7's and 8's.

It's obvious the kids are still unsure as to how their father met their mother. It's already the 4th season, but thankfully, it is still going strong.

Especially after this week's episode where Barney totally ownes the show.

As for anime's for this fall, I have tried almost everything but gave up on most of it after 2 episodes or so. The only ones I'm clinging onto are these 3 (and maybe Tytania).

Gundam OO - Best animation, awesome story, and great mechas!

The OO Gundam looks really really really really really awesome. Did I mention really? ^^

Toaru Majutsu No Index - Graphic-wise, it's pretty good. Story wise, not bad.

It's about magic in a science world. 1st 2 episodes have been great.

Aww, look at how cute Index is. LoL

Tales of the Abyss - Colourful animation. Nicely done. Based on the Ps2 game with the same name.

And... the latest season of Clone Wars (gawd, Lucas, how many Clone War stories are there... -.-)

That brings it to a total of 10 shows I have to watch every week. Might add a few more if there are any good reviews.

Need for Speed Undercover brings back the police to the franchise! Available on all platforms. If it's good, I'll grab the Xbox 360 controller and burn up the streets. LoL.

Partner in crime? Dawson Tan. Hahaha. Mr Tan, we're going undercover this year.

The next game in the Red Alert franchise. Quirky storyline and awesome gameplay to be expected. Trust me, it's gonna be really really huge on the PC.

Biggest game on the Xbox nuff' said. The sole reason I might get an Xbox this year.

Biggest PS3 game. Will it be enough to rival Gears? =S

The best of them all. ROFL. The uber-cute Planet Kecil Besar! XD. Trust me, this game is awesome.

Well, if you're looking for a new portable music player this year, the 4th gen iPod Nano is a must buy! First, it looks awesome, it's not dwarfed like Ken's 3rd gen pod XP, and you can view your clips both horizontally and vertically. Do not forget the added memory!

On a side note, you can grab the new Touch. It even has a built in speaker! woot

As for nex-gen consoles, you might want to consider the PS3. Why? Well, it's definitely the best bang-for-buck console on the market now. AND DO NOT LET ANY FANBOYS TELL YOU OTHERWISE. Why?

Let me break it down for you.

PS3 with Blu-Ray, built in WiFi, and 80gigs of memory = USD 399

Xbox 360 with NOTHING and 60gigs of memory = USD 299
Add WiFi adapter, USD 99 and its $398.
Whoops, less memory, no Blu Ray.

The only thing that I would admit is that PS3's game library OF 2008 (not 2009), loses to the Xbox.

PSP 3000. The 3rd revision of the very capable Sony PSP. Anyone who is looking to buy a new psp, is stupid to buy the 2000 over the 3000. Why? 2 simple reasons - The screen and the mic.

The Xbox 360. My console of choice for 2008, only because it has Gears of War 2. But, based on my forecast, the PS3 will dominate beginning mid-2009. Trust me...

This, is the new Nintendo DS - The DSi. Also the 3rd revision of it's kind. Well, nothing much to be said coz we all know what the games are like. Fun but Fugly!

Or if you're in the market for something heavier, why not try out the new Mac Book's? Encased in a full body of aluminium, this beauty of Apple looks awesome and plays awesome too!

Well, it seems that both Jay and Lee Hom have watched The Dark Knight... Coz both their new albums, have superhero themes.

This year, Jay will be the legendary Dragon Knight, while Lee Hom will be the amazing Music Man. (Hey, don't take it up with me! I didn't come up with those awful names! LoL)

As for the music, Jay's Capricorn has already been released this week, while Lee Hom's album will be in a month's time.

Hands down, the best movie of 2008. I don't see any other movie that can dethrone The Dark Knight this year... Quantum of Solace perhaps? nah...

Without a doubt, the best game I have played this year. Crysis Warhead is a minor expansion to the Crysis franchise. It tells the story of Sgt "Psycho" Sykes, and his adventures on the other side of Ground Zero.

Warhead fixes all the problems found in Crysis, ie slow pace, online multiplayer, and comes out strong. It even has a revamped online experience, now found on Crysis Wars. It truly is the COD4 of 2008. ^^

The only problem may be that EA foolishly decided to include the DRM... But oh well...

And yeah, hand's down, THE best motivational poster of the year... I finally managed to make good use of that picture. Wahahahaha XD

Hellboy 2 : The Golden Army - I would rank this movie as one of the top family-comedies. LOL. Imagine that... Hellboy... family-comedy... But yeah, that's what they did to this movie. Don't believe me? Try this - There is a scene in the movie, where Hellboy and Abe drinks beer and sings Can't Smile Without You by Barry Manilow. AND, AND, after the movie, the end credits also starts with that song. XD

If you want loads of blood-pumping action every 5 minutes (like Dawson) I suggest you stay away. But if you're just looking for your typical good movie, go watch this one.

Rating : 7/10

Get Smart - Erm, not as funny as other nerd spies (Johnny English!!!). But still, worth a watch - because of Anne Hathaway. XD

Rating : 6.5/10

Doomsday - Erm, full of nonsensical action and some real funny blood-splattering action. Story is plain stupid. Rhona Mitra (below) is really hot though.

Rating : 6/10

The Spiderwick Chronicles - The only way I can explain this movie, is that it is the LOTR for KIDS. Yeah. Lets see, there's a book (The One Ring), a bad guy who wants the book to rule the world (Sauron), an old bastard to created/found the book (Bilbo Baggins), twins - little kids who are on the quest to destroy the book (Frodo and Sam), and what else? Oh yeah, mystical beasts and creatures. ^^

Without the glaring similiarities, it could have been a really good movie though.

Rating : 7/10

Steelseries. This brand was unveiled in Malaysia during this week's ESWC event.

Gawd I tried out their products. And I must say, it feels really great. I think I found a company that really bothers with their products and not just mass marketing.

First up, their Ikari Laser mouse. I gotta get one to replace my dying Razer Krait.

Then, I'll get their mousepad as well. Still considering the type of surface I want. Will go back to check it out tomorrow.

Third, their awesome looking headphones. 2 reasons I love it. First, they're in WHITE. And second, they are supported by the BACK of your head. So it won't kacau your nice hair even when you're gaming. hahahahaha. XD

This is their latest release. The 7G keyboard which supports "anti-ghosting". Which means that it can execute all the buttons you press SIMULTANEOUSLY. But it's too expensive... RM500 for a keyboard.. zzz

Anyways, my Team Crisys made it to the quarter finals during the ESWC, but lost to Cybertime AGAIN. This is the 3rd time I have lost to them during a DotA tourney... I.am.so.hating.this.

I mean why.the.heck am I meeting them everytime? Argh!!! =/

Sqaure Enix has organized an invitation-only party this August, to dish the progress on their highly anticipated upcoming games. Finally.

Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are such highly anticipated games, and will be real console sellers. I mean, if I were to buy a PS3, it would definitely be for FFXIII.

Who hasn't heard about Final Fantasy? I mean, just watch the video below. You WILL be amazed. Even non RPG gamers like Boon Ken will really like (watching) it. LoL. You MUST watch it. ^^

Presenting - Diablo III

Omgomgomg... Blizzard finally announced DIABLO 3!!! woohoo!!! This game brings back so much memories. LoL. Primary school memories to be exact. Yeah... It's THAT long. ^^

But as usual, Blizzard are keeping mum about the actual release date, saying their usual "It's done when it's done". Oh well, somehow I wish that they would drop Starcraft 2 and release this game earlier. LoL. Keeping my fingers crossed for a Xmas release.

During the announcement, they showed the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor. Awesome. You can watch the gameplay video below. =D

These are a few of my most anticipated games of the year.

Crysis Warhead. The follow-up to last year's awesome shooter. Warhead tells the story of Psycho, a member from the previous game who vanishes and appears in the end. This is his story.

The good news is, the system requirements this time round will not be so steep. But, it poised to look even better than it's predecessor.

Tiberium. A strategy shooter from the Command and Conquer universe. The first shooter since Renegade.

Of course, Gears of War 2!!! Yeah man. I would buy an Xbox 360 for this. XD

And last but not least, Star Wars The Force Unleashed. Star Wars rox. Nuff said. hehehe

ESWC DotA Qualifiers

Tomorrow, my Team Crisys will be having our ESWC DotA qualifiers at One Utama. LoL. Starts around 10am. Wish us luck! ^^

And this... faze...book... zzz... I told myself from the start not to have a Facebook account coz I see the amount of time my sis spends checking her stuff on that page... zzz

BUT, now I hear that even DON SHUE has a Facebook acc. ROFL. Don Shue. The benchmark. The guy who doesn't bother with blogs, or even Friendster. Yet, he has Facebook. Gosh... I feel so damn outdated. =.=

So, I guess I'll just have to go get one. LoL.

On a separate note, I finally got my hair highlighted. Haha. It's kinda light brownish... Somehow, it makes me look fairer. Funny huh. XD

And, during one of my recent Blog Hopping/Stalking expeditions, I realize that different groups of gurls have very different habits. Let's talk camwhoring.

There are many different kinds of camwhoring "styles". BU4 gurls, who mostly live in One Utama, like to take certain kinds of pictures of themselves and their friends, and usually they're dressed in cool clothes or their uniform. But.

I noticed another group of gurls, from another school. They like to take pictures of PJK. Seriously. They're like very into sports and stuff. And it shows. COZ, most of their pictures consist of JUMPING shots.

Yeah, they like to take pictures of each other while jumping. No kidding. Whether at home, in school or out there somewhere, most of the pictures have them with their feet in the air. LoL.

Yeah, I get it. I'm bored. LoL. It's almost like Disturbia where you start NOTICING things. hehe.

Let's Put A Smile On That Face

Lucky faggots (see : selected few), got to watch a special screening of The Dark Knight last weekend in, if I'm not mistaken, Los Angeles (can't remember =s). Hell, they even had it in IMAX.

And, those buggers, had to go and release reviews for that movie 3 weeks before we get to watch it.

So what do the reviews say? Well, they say alot. Too much, in fact, that you might wanna build a time machine just to go forward in time to watch it.

Yeah you got it right. Critics say that the movie is Phenomenal. Supposedly THE movie to beat this year. Special praise goes to the late Heath Ledger of course, thanks to his stunning performance as The Joker, a man, who likes to see things burn. ^^

So after the 1st wave of reviews, the whole word is even more anxious to watch the damn movie, which will only be out in 2 weeks. Argh. See, this is what you call MARKETING... zzz.

But if you think about it, there ARE already people in Malaysia who might be watching the movie. Such as the TRANSLATORS. Yeah. They definitely get to watch it in advance so that they can put stuff like "Pahlawan Gelap" up on the screens. ROFL.

Anyways, I can't wait. Most likely we'll just catch the midnight screening. =D

And speaking of movies, we are currently half way through the load of summer blockbusters for 2008. Personally, out of the entire list, I have only watched 4. How sad... =.=. How many have you watched?

Ok, who hasn't heard about this movie has either been living under a rock, or has probably been pronounced dead. ^^

This movie, was based on an old book I read - Bringing Down The House, which tell the true story of a group of MIT students who were smart enough to bring down Vegas.

Unfortunately, that kinda tactics cannot really be used in our modern society, what with facial recognition technology and also those lie detectors and what not.

This movie has yet to be released in Malaysia, for it contains many "sins". Sex, Money and Gambling. Go figure. LoL.

I rate this movie only a 6.5/10. While fun to watch, it does not have that WOW effect. Well don't take my word for it. [SAM] says that it was the best movie he watched this year.

Now onto another issue from the movie.

This movie contains a scene around the 15th minute, whereby, the teacher asks the student :

T : Let's say this is a gameshow, and the host presents you with 3 doors. Behind ONE of the door, there is a brand new car. The other 2? Goats. ^^. Go ahead and pick a door.

S : Door 1.

T : Okay. Let's see. (and the host opens Door 3 to reveal a goat). So, do you want to change your answer?

S : Yes. I change my answer to Door 2.

T : Why? Enlighten us.

S : Well, simple. If I change my answer to door 2, I have a 66.6% chance of getting the car. But if I stay with my previous answer, I will still only have a 33.3% chance. It is not a definite win, but logically, people will go for the higher chance.

Now. Most of you may be wondering WHY is there 66.6% chance if he changes his answer. Simple. This theory has been revealed a long time ago. AND, many PHD owners and lecturers and mathematicians and stuff also got it wrong. So do not blame yourself if you do not understand it.

First, let me say, that there is NOTHING wrong with this example, it's calculations and also the answer. It is perfectly correct. Though a little hard to understand. ([SAM] says it is inefficient. I still don't really know what that means).

So for the purpose of discussion. Here is why.

First, when you were given the choice, you had a 33.3% chance of getting it right, AND a 66.6% chance of getting it wrong. In simple words, the odds are AGAINST you. Right?

So the host opens door 3. Right now, most people think that you currently have a 50-50 chance of getting it right, right? And it doesn't matter whether or not you change your answer?WRONG.

Take a look at this 2 pictures.

That is your initial chance, whereby the odds were AGAINST you.

And THAT is your chance if you decide to switch. Why? Because one door was already opened, and as such, if you switch your answer to door 2, you will have the odds on YOUR SIDE. Understand? Why? Because, you have to know that the host cannot open YOUR door or the WINNING door right?

Of course this does not guarantee you a win. But which fool will go for a lower chance if there is a higher one? So, to put it simply, you WANT a higher chance of winning. And as such, you MAKE the switch.

If you do not understand, allow me to explain it another way.

Let's say there are 1,000,000 doors. The player picks a door. The game host then opens 999,998 of the other doors revealing 999,998 goats—imagine the host starting with the first door and going down a line of 1,000,000 doors, opening each one, skipping over only the player's door and one other door.

The host then offers the player the chance to switch to the only other unopened door.

At the start, YOU had 1 chance of getting it right, and 999,999 chance of getting it WRONG. So now, if you switched, you would have 999,998 chance of getting it right. A rational player should switch.

As I said earlier, this is very theoretical. It does not necessarily have to work out that way because there is the element of luck involved. But lets say you put all emotions aside, and follow statistics, you would choose to make the switch.

This is called the Monty Hall Problem. I did not create it, nor do I endorse it. I just somehow understand it. If you do not understand, go take it up with the dead man himself. I am not here to explain. Or you can also Google it. As they say, many many very highly educated men also have a hard time understanding it. ^^

*We have also learnt something like this in Form 4/5 whereby you have 2 kinds of situation. One whereby you can repeat the outcome and one where you cannot. Both have very different percentages.*

Assassin's Creed

The best looking game I have played this year. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed for the PC is truly a marvel. This game, seems to be a combination of Ubisoft's previous works - the Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell series - and as such, has a combination of both strategy and stealth. Not to mention fun ways of killing people. ^^

The only problem I have with it so far, is that this game has a VERY repetitive nature. Which means, throughout most of the game I've played, it follows the flow of Accepting mission-> executing side quests (eavesdropping, pickpocketing and rescuing)-> and lastly, the assasination and the rewards that come with it. =/

Overall, it will still be worth your while for it's a really great looking game.

Rating : 7/10

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is another one of the best games I've played this year. It is the best shooter this year, and I like how it makes COD4 look like child's play (Yeah this goes out to all you people who hideout in the cc's and play cod4 - the easy game).

So, R6V2 has a solid (and longer) campaign compared to COD4. Besides, it offers a great multiplayer experience in the form of the Coop campaign, and also the superb terrorist hunts.

It also has a wide range of weapons, that are not imbalanced in any way (P90 anyone?). Gameplay is also awesome as it is not a rough out in-your-face shooter. It feels great, but you cannot play it blindly like COD4. This is where it truly shines. You have to use some brains to win this game.

Why? Because the bots are smart (especially on Realistic mode). If you lose, and you restart the mission or hunt, they do not do the same things, or be in the same places again. Nope. They learn from YOUR pattern not you from theirs like in other games. Also, do remember to Flash and Flush. ^^

And last but not least, it looks really great as well. It is the best LAN party game this year.

And just for kicks, I am replaying Final Fantasy XII. LoL. It was released 2 years ago around the time I was having SPM. As such, I can't seem to really remember the story. I think it was because I chucked it aside for those post SPM parties. XD

Cooking the Charts

After his final performance on Idol, David Cook's live recordings of Dream Big, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and The World I Know, took over the iTunes charts, knocking off top singles from Rihanna, and even Leona Lewis.

After he was announced the winner, Cook's winning single The Time of My Life, also went straight to number one and sold like hot pancakes.

But, that wasn't his greatest feat yet. Soon after, Cook debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 3 - one of the best achieved by an Idol.

And that's not all. Along with that number 3 song, he had 16 other songs on the chart. 11 of which were on the Top 100 list. Which means that, David Cook had a total of 17 songs on the US Billboard simultaneously, beating the record held by The Beatles which was 14 songs. ^^

I shudder to think how many albums he will sell. Hope it'll be an awesome debut. =D

A follow up of my previous post. Daughtry will be performing at One Utama, for the Sony Ericsson Traffic Jam event. Ticket prices have yet to be confirmed.

Rock princess (or whatever you call her nowadays) Avril Lavigne, will also be here in Malaysia. It's her one and only stop in Asia. ^^

Last but not least, the MTV Asia Awards will for the 1st time, be hosted in Malaysia. Jared Leto will be the emcee for the night and it will be held in Genting Highlands.

Hmm... ESWC is back to Malaysia this year... At first, I wanted to join Trackmania Nations. But since I managed to merge my Team Crisys with another DotA team, I'll just join DotA for fun. LoL.

We were supposed to attend the FTZ Subang qualifiers last Saturday, but due to unforseen circumstances, we did not. Alas, hopefully we will be attending the final qualifiers at One Utama.

I actually think we stand a chance this time. LoL. XD

Spent the last weekend at Dawson's place. LAN-ed the laptops and finished Gears of War multiplayer campaign in under 10 hours... The only downside was having to constantly restart the comp... =.=

As for the update I promised about the drama life of boys, nah, I'm not gonna update on it... Bored already... Let bygones be bygones...

The OO Gundam

Been wondering what it looks like right? Well there you have it. Apparently the GN Drives are relocated to the shoulders. I think it should provide shield n some extra speed... =S

As for the GN Drive behind, apparently it has been replaced with boosters... Hmm... The whole thing looks detachable...

Oh well, there you have it. The OO Gundam that will be used in Season 2 of Gundam 00. =D

Petrol, Electricity price hike

There you have it... The 40% price hike for petrol in our country. From RM1.92 a litre to RM2.70, and to top it all, with less than 24 hours notice.

The government might say that among the other Asian countries or Western countries we still have one of the lowest prices, but seriously, look at our average income bracket...

Rice, and electricity rates have also gone up... zzz... Even though they say that we will be getting a RM625 rebate per car, per year, but that still isn't enough. =.=

Maybe they should start giving out angpaos soon at the rate they're going.

The chaos at the petrol stations after the news was released... Gawd... there are 4 petrol stations in my area... Imagine that.

Ok, basically this is THE follow up of my previous post, entitled Friends. I have been putting off this update (and another newer one) for quite awhile now.

Nevertheless, there are some things you jz gotta do... So take a deep breath... There are 14 parts...

Part 1 - About backing off
My 1st post mentioned that Sam told me to back off...

Sam : "first of all, asking you to 'back off' is for your own gooD..
wat i mean is tings are getting worse, and I dont want you to involve in it~but if you wanna take it the wrong way, fine with me~"

Munz : "ok.. for my own gooD. then i apologize. thanks.. wads d next prob?"

Part 2 - About taking sides
Sam said that we as his friends, took sides in the argument, and that he felt betrayed...

Sam : "second, wat hurt me the most is the conversation you all started in his blog..
you know wat, that time our 'argument' almost ended, as I did mention in Tzia's blog~
wat you all (you don and boon ken) wrote back then really hurts me deep down inside my heart..

I'm not saying you taking sides.. wat i think was, friends will at least stand by my side, or none! look back what you all had said the first time~"

Munz : "i said it was an awesome argument. doon said he wanted to belanja him. ken said d argument made his day. so wad? dat jz means dat d conversation rawked.. unless u forgot, right after u gave me d link, i said "WOWZ"."

Sam : "try to imagine my feelings after viewing wat you all wrote then..
my frens taking side, not mine at least~ and again, I prefer my fren taking my side, or none!wat you all wrote just made me felt like you all had make the pick.."

Part 3 - About Don
About the stuff he said to Don...

Sam : "and wat i mentioned to Don, is according to wat he had said in his blog too..
something about me being such a kid.. so I replied (not threaten FOR GOD SAKE, i never threaten my fren) to him : I do have limit (not about him) i can tolerate on many thing but something is forbid for me(as for the argument and challenge by Hansern, not Don) and again, wanna take it the wrong way, go ahead"

Munz : "i neva wna take things d wrong way.. if its not against don, but against hansern den its fine wif me. but i sugGest u apologize 2 don oso. coz he's oso hurt"

Sam : "I will explain to him, but not apologize.. just a misunderstanding bout that"

Part 4 - About stepping on his tail

Sam : "ONE LAST THING, I very firm on my own principles..
I can be Mr. Nice Guy to everyone and anyone, but not anymore when you 'stepped on my tail' (so to speak in Cantonese)cause wat I had went through taught me that no use for being mercy to your enemies.. just make them think that you're gullible and bullyAble!"

Munz : "yeah i respect that.. so wad other part of ur tail hv i stepped on dat u wna tok abouot?"

Sam : "no, its a proverb in cantonese.. means 'just dont break wat I viewed as FORBID rules', which I had mentioned just now"

Munz : "i noe lah.. zzz"

Part 5 - Sarcasm as a form of betrayal
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the statement of the year

Sam : "oh yA, I take BEING SARCASTIC as a form of BETRAY too, just so you know"

Munz : "zzz.. stupid.. u neva learn CTS ah? zzz.. sarcasm as a form of betrayal.. no logic man"

Sam : "for me, being sarcastic is a form of not faithful to your fren.. if both are really true frens, there's no need for sarcasm.. as my name! I had quite a lot of frens which is totally not sarcastic AT ALL.. and we had been frens for 13 years! I just dont see the problem, and why cant 2 real truthful frens be honest to each other.. including point out the problem or weakness, praise, giving opinions WITHOUT SARCASM~"

Munz : "dats ur point of view.. we were never sarcastic to u.. plS point out if we were. "

Part 6 - About misinterpreting things in a heated argument
Anger, the language barrier, and eerything in between...

Sam : "1 thing to add on, back then, its too late for you trying to 'cool us down' after you all's first speech~ and I know you did try to at least, but I didnt see a hell thing Don trying to do other than pouring oil on the fire.."

Munz : "zzz.. don jz wants u all to stop. every1 wants u all to stop.. simple as dat"

Sam : "the way I see it (back then), its just you all supporting him..
I knew you did told me its sarcasm later on, but hell~ try to think from my side..

when I'm in a heat arguments, my fren praising my enemies (doesnt care if its sarcasm, i only see wat i see, WORDS) like 'thank you dude, you made my day' and 'oh I should really belanja you minum sometimes, the conversation is fucking awesome'..
wat would you think if you're me"

Munz : "If I were you I wudnt hv took it as a form of betrayal or sacasm... they jz said wad dey read. We never took sides. n wads wrong if don n ken enjoyed d conversation? if u read carefully, dey DID NOT AT ALL PRAISE him. we jz enjoyed it dats all. i dont see anytin wrong. especially since u were d one who asked me 2 read in d 1st place"

Sam : "you only said that not long ago tonight, i didnt know back then..
plus, you can said that I misinterpret it.. but when I'm in a heat argument (with a heated brain), I'll just take thing literally,, which I see offend from what you all first wrote which anyone will under normal circumstances"

Munz : "i told u, u find it offensive coz u DONT UNDERSTAND IT and also u MISINTERPRETED IT. now dat i xplained it so clearly to u, i tink u shud b able to see dat we DID NOT AT ALL TAKE SIDES and also there is NO WRONG IN ENJOYING A CONVERSATION. if u still want to think otherwise, i sugGest u take d conversation n go ask ur english teacher lyk miss selina or sth"

Sam : "again I said, under that heated circumstances, I take words for its meaning.. if wat all you did now is just to force an admission of guilt out of me, you can have it.. but i wanna said, i dont see any problem if i really did misinterpret that meaning, which I assume anyone will~ just like how you all interpret my THREATS to you all.. the thought of threating my fren is totally against my principles, I NEVER IN A MILLION YEaRS WILL THINK OF THAT TO A FREN!"

Munz : "yeah,. i told u 2 xplain d threat thing to don. as for admitting guilt or watever.. i had no such idea. but i totally understand d "misinterpreting things in a heated argument". i will take dat as a closure. wad about u?"

Part 7 - About the wound in his heart
I'm EMO pt.1

Sam : "I know you all didnt mean wat you did back then, but still, there's a wound in my heart,, you think thats so damn easy to heal"

Munz : "wounds will oni heal wif understanding.. if u say ur wound cant heal, means all dat ive been xplaining about for d past few hours is useless. u can accept it and move on. no 1 is blaming or being blamed. or, u can go on thinking dat every1 is against u, n dat ure hurt, n dat d world sux, n den go hear more emo songs"

Sam : "I had explained to Don that its a total misunderstanding that he took that msg as a threat.. I against no one but only Hansern in this case.. but '说多错多' (say more wrong more), so I just explain briefly to him~ dont wanna make thing worse anymore"

Munz : "yeah. dats all fine and gooD. but ure still blabBering about d wound in ur heart dat is supposedly caused by us."

Sam : "about your wound talk.. As you said, I'm a damn sensitive person, I know that as well.. For me, something which had been inflicted to me will still make me thinking bout it.. I need some time to cool down and reconsider~i mean, will still make me thinking about it, even though its healed"

Munz : "i told u, d oni way u can heal d wound is to accept and understand. if u dont do dat, no point. as for d thinking about it AFTER its healed, its oso pointless coz if it is healed, means u understand and accept."

Part 9 - About facing the problem

Sam : "well, thats my principles.. which most ppl take it immature, but i dont care.. take it or leave it ( i mean it in a nice way, no more further misunderstanding)"

Sam : "tell me, how am I not facing it"

Part 10 - About space
I need some space and time to heal...

Sam : "to be honest lar dude, when i said 'i need time', usually thats the way I try to stay away from someone and let it be just like when we're not fren before~ but you see, thats my insist.. '一次不忠，百次不用' ~ if you know the meaning of this proverb"

Munz : "haha. i dun understand it. but wad i understand is dat u wna space away frm us.. fine wif me man. enjoy ur life."

Sam : "well you can take it that way.. I cannot see the future.. wat i can say now is, i will try working on that~ take nicholas as example, i never thought we're gonna be fren again..
turned out its just something i thought its so damn serious back then, just a minor problem
(and suRe of course not about his apologize, cause I wont accept apologize either once I marked someone as enemy)"

Munz : "if u oni judge a relationship by time, den i cant blame u for saying its fresh. but if u judge it on interaction, i tink theres alot in wad we went through"

Sam : "and of course, when I was with you all, i didnt think bout that"

Munz : "as for LONG term, den i sugGest u dun make any frens until u mix wif dem for lyk 10 years or more"

Part 11 - About Quality and Quantity

Sam : "i know wat you mean, about the interaction talk.. its never the quantity of time, but quality~wat i said is, wat we went through is not enough to make all the misunderstanding gone without even talk bout it.. at least N0T YET. and understanding is the process of frenship, not the outcomes when it really put into test.."

Munz : "zzz.. its all in ur head lor.. im not u.. u wna say how long it takes oso can."

Sam : "well, just noT yet reach that level where you can smile on EVERY SINGLE misunderstanding "

Munz : "wen we reach dat lvl u tell me.. now i gtg train 1st coz dat level too high. i bot oso take dam long to reach dat level i tink"

Part 12 - About disappointment
I'm EMO pt.2

Sam : "thats why I said 'disappointed with you all', not 'mad' or 'hate'.. just disappointed, cause I still care of you all's views.. well anyway, i think too late to say that~"

Munz : "yeah. im oso disapointed wif u coz i tot u were mature but u whine lyk a kid after a misunderstanding n cant accept wads in front of u"

Sam : "all i can say is, accepting.. cause i trying to wipe the memOries of the misunderstanding since it hurts me so deep.. at least i tell you the truth I'm still not okay~ you want me to bluff you that I am which I'm not so that the frenship can continue, like these never happen"

Munz : "zzz.. no need to bluff lah. wen u done wiping ur memory u tell me k"

Part 13 : Overthinking
Maturity vs Childishness

Munz : "ppl overthink to maturity. u used to b lyk dat. now u overthink to childishness"

Sam : "not like that.. put it this way when i overthink, it usually about maturity its only childish when i INSISTED about it or JUST RELY ON IT"

Munz : "yeah. n now ure insisting (in ur head) dat we are wrong. coz u dun wna accept a simple thing n get on wif life. ive blamed myself many times before. it helps. maybe u shud try"

Sam : "at least wrong on timing.. guess wat bother me the most.. I think I wont misunderstand it under normal circumstances though"

Munz : "dats jz plain dumb u noe. so jz imagine it lyk normal lah. we;re not d one arguing wif u oso.. so wads so abnormal about dat?"

Sam : "thats wat i am trying, and it had made me feel lots better lar of course.. but still, not 100%, to be honest~"

Part 14 - Cultivating DEEPER friendship during vacation
Poke backside deep? - Quote of the year ^^

Sam : "DAMN I SHOULD REALLY GET A VACATION. thats wat i said.. none of these would have happen if you all agree to go REDANG with me~ come on dude, a big chance to knowing each other more deeply"

There... Against all odds, I managed to put the entire thing up here word-for-word. I do this with total respect for the other party, though he may not know it, and might therefore start misinterpreting things again.

Before we go, let me set something straight. Sam is a nice guy. No questions bout that. He is helpful etc etc. I do not forget the times he helped me. But, people also have their shortcomings. For Sam, it's his tendency to get sensitive and start misinterpreting things. I sincerely respect his personal views and opinions. But if it gets too personal, I have to do something about it (next post!)

Speed Racer

Ok, finally got to watch this outdated movie today. LoL. Was really looking forward to it due to nostalgia.

Anyways, Speed Racer, is about the Racer family (yeah that's their surname). Speed (protagonist's name) only has automobiles and racing in his head. He cannot concentrate on anything else. I'm really surprised that Trixie fell for him...

As for the main story, well, as you can guess, it's about racing, family, money and treachery. I'm too lazy to explain.

All I can say is that, though the movie is a lil' childish, it was still a wonderful experience. It's full of bright colors and has a rather solid storyline, including character development. Action is plentiful, though you will have to get used to the rather bizarre presentation of the graphics by the Wachowski brothers. ^^

Worth the money.

I do not own a PS3, but I have finished this game! LoL. Yeah, went to Don's house 3 times to finish the game. Unfortunately it's not a very long game; Hardly 8 hours worth of gameplay. So let's see what this game is about!

Army of Two is, well, an army of two. =.=. In the game, you and your friend (or AI) will run through levels with just each other as company. Your aim is to reveal a hidden conspiracy to privatise the military.
The game uses the AGGRO system, whereby one person will draw Aggro (attention), while the other player goes around backstabbing the enemies.

Of course, a full frontal assault is also welcomed. ^^

Back-to-back mode. In this mode, you will eliminate your enemies back to back. What I find disturbing is that in this mode, the enemies will slow down to a matrix kinda thing. =S

If your partner is down, Drag him to safety and heal him! Coz if he dies, YOU DIE!

Gundam Astraea Is Arrive

Yay. My Astraea jz arrived a few minutes ago. LoL. Delivery was good but the box was a little dented... Ouch.

Anyways, this model apparently has and even higher level of detail even though it belongs to the same grade as my other two 00 models. Hmm... Maybe that justifies the slight increase in price.

What I'm not so happy about, is that once I open the box, 80% of the parts look like my previous Exia. I know that they stem from the same basic design, but even so...

So I immediately opened up the manual, and voila... I got a real shock. Apparently, what Bandai did was they put in the exact same runners as Exia, and, and, they jz ADDED the extra parts on top of it! =.=. Means that after I finish assembling the model, there will be EXTRA UNUSED PARTS that are of NO USE! zzz.

Please lar Bandai, I know you guys wanna come out with this model real fast, coz it's like the most popular model... But seriously, spend a lil bit more time making new runners okay? Coz that's what you guys are really good at. I really appreciate the runners design everytime coz after it all comes apart, it will come together perfectly in the end.

Either way, I can't wait to get started. ^^

I'm sure you guys know all about friends. What friends are, what friends are for, etc etc... Yeah. But recent turn of events require me to highlight other aspects of friendship.

1st point - Friends have a mind of their own
You cannot expect your friend to just support you blindly without having his/her own opinions. If you're looking for unconditional support and blind agreement for every one of your actions and consequences, I suggest you find a mother.

2nd point - Friendship does not include a pacifier
A friend may choose to just watch from afar, or sometimes, to speak up. Whatever comes out of the mouth of your friend is his/her opinion. Respect it. Why? Because you also want your friend to respect YOUR opinions and decisions. Simple? (Notice I said RESPECT and not AGREE faggots)

3rd point - A friend will always be a friend
Your friend will always be your friend. You may argue, fight, kill each other, but you will still be friends after you forgive and forget. If you do all the above, and still remain friends, you deserve each other. But if one party just hides in his/her hole, and just BITCHES around, then that is not called friendship. Keep it an open book you bastards. Of coz there are exceptions like if your friend turns BAD blah blah blah.

4th point - Help should be appreciated
When your friend tries to help, or offers his/her opinion, just take it even if you don't use it. Don't fucking go round asking your friends to BACK OFF, thinking that your friend is trying to steal the limelight or trying to get attention for fucks sake. If help is a form of self-glorification or attention grabber, then I suggest all of you to not help your friends. Just let them fucking die. But if you do help your friends, then based on the "cool" theory above, I think we'd all be American Idols of something.

So far so good? I hope you all understand the fucking points above.

Now, on to the story. I have a friend, named Sam. He had an argument with a random guy he did not know, on the internet. No big deal ryte? Ok. The argument got big. It's even continuing right now with Sam issuing death threats and such.
*right now, Sam will be shouting that IT'S NOT A DEATH THREAT LAH". Fine, maybe not, but this is what he said IN HIS OWN WORDS*

This goes on... So me and my friends Don and Boon Ken intervened. We just asked him to stop arguing. Heck I even asked the BOTH of them to stop the argument. I don't usually take sides in a heated argument. Especially not when both of them are my friends.

But no, he turns around, and asks us to "back off" or "it's not about you anymore" (since when the fuck has it been about us huh? It's YOUR argument damnit"). Of coz he also says that we betrayed him etc etc.

Betray? Betray what fuck? Here's what he said to Don.
- "people have limit. so do I.. maybe you know mine, maybe you don't~ I can tolerate on almost everything, but not the betrayal of frens, not even in a sarcasm way!"

How does a friend betray you sarcastically? I seriously don't understand.

Anyway, this goes out to Sam. I know he reads my blog. He's a loyal follower. Here's what I have to say -
"Dear Sam, what we did was not a betrayal. You can think whatever you want and WE can also think what we want. As I mentioned above, we have our own mind, our own points, and our own mouths. We tried to help, you pushed us aside. You threatened Don. You took our actions as a form of betrayal. Fine. If you want to think that way, so be it. You like to hold grudges, and yet you shout alot. That's a form of hypocrisy. Your latest MSN nickname is "Sarcasm is definitely not included in the package of friendship". Unfortunately, I don't really understand it coz our "England" seems to be a little different. No matter. If you don't like what we did, do come and bitch it to us. Come and discuss it with us if you still treat us like a friend. Don't go holding grudges and keeping it inside. It will do nobody any good. This song, Mirrorcle World, is actually the full version of the intro song on her Guilty album, named Mirror.

Though it was short, that intro song was my most favourite song off the album, and I was totally thrilled to hear the full version. Undoubtedly the best song I've heard this year.

I love dramatic songs. They always top MY charts. Notice I always say MY charts? That is bcoz I believe that everyone has different taste in music and I respect everyone's choices. Maison's KL. Yeap, we rawked the club on the 2nd last day of work.

There were 7 guys, and many FFK gurls... Oh well. Anyways, Disern, Sam, James, Wong and his 2 cool bros and me were there. We partied till 2am, and drank till we rushed to the toilet. LoL

At the club, I was chatting up this gurl and it was kinda fun. I kept telling myself to get her number. BUT after the talk, I FORGOT!!!

Haiz, anyways, I'll go back and find her some day... lolz .

We arrived at around 11pm, and found really good parking lots outside the police station (literally). We then lined up and crashed the place with a bottle of liquor, coke, and lots of ice. ^^

DJ Goldfish arrived slightly after midnight, at that was when the party really heat up. We jz kept dancing and dancing. And buggers like James took to the floor with his shuffling, which in return, attracted many gurls to stick to him throughout the nite. =.=

Overall, a great way to de-stress and also to celebrate quitting your job. LoL.

Iron Man Movie Review

Iron Man... The perfect start to the summer blockbusters! The movie is about Tony Stark, billionaire weapons designer and also sarcasm specialist, who was abducted by terrorists to rebuilt his uber cool Jericho missile. Instead, Stark builds himself Mark 1, a super suit, to help him break out of enemy captivity.

After his escape, he develops Mark 2 and 3 which he uses to save the world becoz he feels that he has not been doing the right thing by creating destructive material...

Hmm, this movie is great in the sense that its human, it has great visual effects and also a superb cast. There are of course flaws such as the slightly lacking story and character development and also an anti-climatic ending similar to that of Transformers.

And if you're in for romance, you WILL be disappointed. This movie does not even have ONE kiss scene.

But overall, I still think that it is enough to capture the attention of the audience. And also the story is panned out well enough to make it stay in your mind even after you leave the cinema.

Rating : 8.5/10

PS : Gwyneth Paltrow looks hot again!

Week in Review

Hmm... Another week. This time, it was full of bumps. Monday came and went, but, no salary. Then came Tuesday, still no salary. We even went all the way to Bangsar to open a Hong Leong Bank account, bcoz the boss told us that if we wanted our salary on that day (Tuesday) we need an account. Still, no salary. Then came Wednesday. Nope, nada. By then, many people were already causing a fuss. My friends who went all the way to KL's branch also did not get paid. Bullshit right?

Anyways, Thursday was a public holiday and Friday I took an annual leave. Even so, I had to go back on Friday for a stint to make sure I would get my salary next week. So now, they say that I will be getting it next Tuesday. zzz... Totally lame.

On the other hand, I am still waiting for the scholarship list to be released. Oh well...

Oh yah, I bet you're wondering what am I doing with the cat in the above picture. Well, here's the story: Me and Kelvin went back on Friday to check on our pay progress. When we stepped into the building, we saw this really small cute kitten. It followed us.

I decided to bring it upstairs ^^. So we both meowed till the cat followed us INTO THE LIFT! haha. So we went up, and it followed us right into the company. wahahaha. The staff went nuts. =D.

In the end, we had to take it back out. We took a few pictures and I led it back into the lift and all the way back down. Once we were out, the cat walked around till it saw a lady carrying a garbage bag. Then, it just chased after it and I never saw it again. LoL

I guess it was a really hungry cat. Gawd, we fooled it into thinking that we might be providers of food. hmm

Last nite, we went over to his house to play with it for awhile. We played Assassin's Creed! woot. It was truly awesome. Don will tell you that his TV is not HD or watever and thus is not capable of displaying the graphics at optimum level. Even so, I still thought that it was great. ^^

So this morning, I got up and went to buy the PC version of Assassin's Creed! woohoo... And, though the specs are really a lil steep (more steep than Crysis, can you believe that?) I think it was real good.

Damn, can't play much. Tomorrow back to work... ='(

I think this is the first time since 1999 where MU's win can only be decided on the last match of the season. Back in 1999, MU won the league by a point, in a game where Tottenham took the lead through Les Ferdinand, but was ultimately destroyed by goals from Beckham and Cole. ^^

During yesterdays match, I won't deny that Chelsea were the better team - in the 1st half. For the first 45mins, MU were practically being dragged by their hair thanks to their lame passing etc etc etc. Though Rooney equalised in the 2nd half, it was not enough to stop Chelsea from taking the points thanks to Ballack's near-end penalty.

So anyways, it will all be down to the last 2 matches. Wins will guarantee MU the title, though there might be complications along the way.

Ahh... I can't wait for the Barca game... I have RM50 hanging on the line as to who makes it to the finals. Lol.

My statement in the above title would be a very apt summary of this dumb movie.

Once again, the west are acting up to their Kungfu itch. And this time, they seem to be taking a scratch at our / Asia's beloved Monkey God - Sun Wukong.

And to make matters worst, our greatest Kungfu masters are actually helping scratch that itch. =.=

So what is this movie actually about? In simple words, an American boy helps the Monkey God retrieve and return his golden staff. Geddit?

In ancient China, he meets one of the 8 immortals - the drunkard on the donkey, a silent monk, a super hot gurl who will be my wife ^^ and, and... they all speak English. Bravo.

Who knew that English was the main language in China huh? Oh, and did you also know that Kungfu can very easily be learned? ^^. They did not even bother with the "few days and nights" thing. Just a couple of horse stances and wow - it's Kungfu baby!

But after saying all that, this is just another movie, though a really dumb one. I guessed the west really did not bother to understand the true meaning of our Chinese legends and history. Oh, and what does the title mean? What forbidden kingdom? I don't see anything of that sort. All I see is the Gate of No Gate... =.=

Oh well, at least the eye candy is great. I really love the female cast in this movie. Gawd, both the gurls are awesome... Like really awesome. I'd watch the movie again just for them. XD

zzz... Yet another week has passed. And I can see my bank account growing smaller by the minute... =.=. It's really crazy when your salary is starting to pay bills, car maintenance, food, and prepaid cards.

Anyways, I am another week closer to - the end. Next week will be the end of my 1st session at UTS. I still need to get another 9 sales in the next 5 days in order to qualify for the commission. After that? Well, another batch begins... By the end of the week, all of my friends would have quit the job. D-son and Kelvin cannot stand their TL's while Don has achieved his purpose of working for a month - his PS3.

What about me? WHAT ABOUT ME???!!! Argh, unfortunately, I still have to hang in there. Coz my mom won't let me quit -"Who's gonna pay you if you just stay at home huh?!". Haiz... To be honest, I'm starting to see the ugly side of my job and my company. But I'll still do my best right? Right??? =/

On the plus side, I finally was a top seller for one day this week. So had to go infront to make some weird speech. lol.

This weekend was a real waste of time. I did not highlight my hair purple, I did not receive my parcel via the mail, nor did I get to watch the MU-Arsenal match. Sobs... All in due time I guess...

Work is never easy. I have just worked for 2 weeks and it's already a draggg... Oh well...

So last friday, was the last day for our super team leader Wai Wai (centre). She will be transferred to another branch starting from today. I dread to see who our new teamleader will be...

On the plus side, me and Wong Mao finally managed to make over Rm 1k sales in a day. It felt really really great. Well, I guess it's some kinda goodbye gift for our team leader. Lol.

Anyways, really can't wait to get my pay this week! Lotsa Gundam models and also the PSP waiting to be bought by me. ^^

Gundam 00 Episode 25 - Season finale

Well, the lastest (and to me, greatest) season of Gundam has come to an end. Through the last 25 episodes, we were presented with some great HD anime and also one of the best and most realistic Gundam stories ever made.

Though the second season will only air in October, I think it will be well worth the wait.

Exia tries again and again to penetrate Alejandro's MA but fails to do so.
He then docks with Lasse's GN Arm's and manages to break up the golden MA...
Only to unleash... the terror within...
Alejandro destroy's Exia's GN Arms and as such, Exia is forced to go into Trans Am mode.
Setsuna remembers Lockon's wise words, whereby only his huge ass GN Blade can penetrate the GN Field. Alejandro down.
Without a second to lose, in comes Graham's GN Flag.
Setsuna and Graham realize that they may be fighting for the same thing, but... Graham still has to avenge the death of his Flag Fighters...
In the end, they were both losers...
On the other hand, Allelujah and Hallelujah was busy fighting 2 GN-X's with his damaged suit.

TVB Taichi

Taichi, one of the best TVB series ever aired.

This kungfu series just ended last week. In Malaysia, you can view it via Astro on Demand.

Well, this series is full of kungfu (the main actor is actually a real kungfu master from China), love, and some really excellent scenaries and camera work. If you are craving for a cantonese drama series that also has kungfu, do not miss out on this. I am so so sad that it came to an end... Oh well, all good things do.

This is THE most exciting Idol I have ever watched. The talents are great, and the participants have started bringing out all their whole arsenal of musical instruments. It's like a total all-out do or die thing.

But I think the 2 I really wanna see in the finals are David Cook and David Archuleta. I think they would be great. ^^

Cabal SEA Open Beta

The lastest MMORPG craze to hit Asia. Cabal online.

The Open Beta test has just begun this month. It's been a long time since I played any form of MMORPG and CABAL is certainly a big leap from the likes of Ragnarok Online and Maple Story.

Cabal has 6 characters to choose from. It has brilliant graphics (for an online game) and also brilliant items and quest system. The only downside I feel about it is there isn't much team play involved in this game compared to RO. What I mean is that, with the quests and all, this is very much a solo-grinding game.

Why? Well for starters, the guild war does not require you to work together to achieve certain objectives like capturing castles. Besides, you get EXP based on the damage you make which certainly does not promote tanking.

But overall, I still find this game worth playing. I just hope that players do not start botting and also spending real cash to buy overpowered in-game items (those 2 points are major killers of online games).

As for comparison with World of Warcraft, I dare not say. Because I have never touched WoW in my life.

Let's Talk Gundam

OK, I have been a Gunpla (Gundam modelling) maniac for many many years but surprisingly I have never blogged about it before. So here goes.

In 2007, Gundam 00 (double-oh) was released. It is another great Gundam series and as with all the other Gundam series', plastic model kits are released.

A brief introduction on these model kits.

Most common sizes : 1/60 (Large), 1/100 (Medium), 1/144 (Small).
Most common grades :
First Grade - Small, few pieces to assemble, very minimal details and colouring.
High Grade - More pieces and details.
Master Grade - Even more pieces, has a sorta exo-skeleton for higher posing ability, much more detailed.
Perfect Grade - Nearly perfect in every way.

My 3 most favourite Gundam models are the Wing Zero from Gundam Wing, Destiny from Gundam Seed and Exia from Gundam 00.

Throughout my childhood I have many FG models. 2 years ago I had the HG Wing Zero and received the HG Infinity Justice. This year, I am spending alot more time and money on my newly-revived hobby. ^^

In 2008 so far I only have the 1/100 Gundam Kyrios, and also the MG Destiny Gundam Extreme Blast Mode. I will be buying at least another 5 more in the next 2 months (thank god I'm working part time XD)

HELP Hears A Hu

OK, first up, I'm gonna be typing Who as Hu. It's an inside joke. ^^

Let's see, this new a animated movie based on the old Dr Seuss books. It's a story about Horton (an elephant voiced over by Jim Carrey!!!) and a Hu (a species living on a speck of dust, voiced my Steve Carrel)

So what does Bruce and Evan Almighty have in store for us? Well, a really good movie indeed! XD. This movie questions the size and relativity of our existence among others.

Horton the elephant HEARD a voice from a spec of dust and started to believe that there were actually beings living on it. Putting his size and the size of the speck into relation really shows how small we Earthlings are in this universe.

So as a kind elephant, Horton braves many dangers to get the spec of dust to a save spot.

This movie is A-class. It is currently the best movie I have watched this year and it could well be the best of the year.

Rating : 9.5/10 (10/10 if watched with a Hu XD)

Backstreet's Back!

A few weeks ago, BsB were back here in KL for a full length concert. They rawked.

On their Unbreakable tour, they played lotsa new songs from the new album. They also played most of their old hits such as Larger Than Life and I Want It That Way.

This beach concert was held at Sunway. We had dinner at Sunway Pyramid and started lining up quite early. I was with 8 of my guy friends.

After a 90 minute wait, we were finally let in. During the wait, there were slight commotions such as the people going in from a different entrance without having to line up. That really made the crowd mad.

Just before 9pm, BsB come on stage. They kicked off the night with their song Larger Than Life in a boxing attire. To the surprise of the audience, they mixed that song with Kanye's Stronger. It was great.

They also each sang a solo. After almost 2 hours and nearly 30 songs, BsB ended the night with Shape of My Heart as the encore. The were only 2 downsides to that concert. First, the bass was overwhelming (gawd these bastards dno how to set a sound system?) And second, they did not sing Drowning!!! =/

Overall, we really enjoyed the night along with a few thousand other people. In a few words, I would like to say that BsB can't really dance and they certainly aren't meant to be solo artists. But as a band, they are awesome. Thanks guys, we hope to see you here again.

MMU E-Week Competition

Well, as usual, I like to try new things. If you take notice, I have actually tried 3 different games in 3 different competitions in the last 2 years.

WCG 2007 - Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars
WGT 2007 - Counter Strike 1.6
MMU E-Week 2008 - DotA
ESWC 2008 - (should be trying out Trackmania Nations)

So this time, once again I brought together a new team, under my old banner - Crisys. Our team swept through the first round and went on to the second.

In the round of 16, we lost one of Malaysia's top 3 teams which is Cybertime. After the lost, we were dropped into the loser's bracket and thus given another chance. We were quite happy.

Unfortuntely as luck would have it, I ended up having to fight Cybertime team 2 in the loser's bracket and thus, lost again. =.=

Anyways, I think it was a really good experience. Met some new friends who were really pros. So thanks alot and do tell me if you guys wanna meet up for the ESWC 2008.

A Simple Yet Effective Plan

Simple Plan are back!!! Yeah, the very boys who brought you anger-venting songs such as Welcome To My Life and Shut Up!

This time around, Simple Plan's sound seems to have grown into something more matured. That being said, they still carry very good tunes and awesome lyrics.

In my opinion, half of this album (ironically the first half) has songs that are really over the top such as my most favourite When I'm Gone, The End, Your Love Is A Lie and Generation. The second half has more predictable songs. That being said, those songs are still good such as I Can Wait Forever and Holding On.

Overall, Simple Plan is still going strong. Hope to be able to watch them live.

Now I'm not sure bout all you young kids out there, but for people my age (and older), we grew up with their songs and have been loving them since our primary school days.

This year's CNY was really fun. Attended like 6 open houses, gambled alot, won a few hundred. All in all, really great.

But what really stood out was me and Don making a trip down to Seremban to visit Boon Ken's family. Our reason was to thank his parents for last year's angpao (and also to take this years one) XD.

This girl here, is Yise. A new local artist who just released her debut album end of last year.

She really cute. Lol.

As for the album, I would have to say that it is quite a good solo effort. So Easy is definitely the best and most happy song off the album. High praises for that.

As for the other songs, there are a few that stand out and also some that just blend in.

Jay Chou's World Tour

Well, I wasn't able to attend Jay's concert last night, bcoz all my frens (especially the gurls) bought the MOST EXPENSIVE seats in the stadium... yeah the RM398 ones... Gawd.

So I had to settle with the live DVD from his HK and Taipei concerts. Set me back RM70 (cheaper than his cheapest tix).

It was well worth it, though I am not happy with the fact that the dvd did not include certain songs like Cai Hong (Rainbow) and also footage of him playing d guitar. Oh well...

Yeah, I know the trailer is cool. But... in the actual movie, the storyline sux. It barely explains anything and all it does is set itself up for a sequel.

Thankfully, the special effects are cool and gives the audience a much needed adrenaline rush.

Kung Fu Dunk Movie Review

Okay, I do admit that the picture above is quite misleading. But rest assure, the movie does not include Jay jumping across buildings and stuff as included in the teaser trailer.

Instead, this movie is about a boy, Jay, who was abandoned and adopted by a martial arts school. There he learned Kung Fu and eventually found his way into one of the top Hong Kong basketball teams.

Combine Kung Fu with basketball, and you get a movie that is filled with lots of laughs, lame jokes, stunts, cool moves etc etc. And no, this movie is nothing like the lame Shaolin Soccer.

Okay, Johnny Depp is back again. This time as a barber who wants to have his revenge on certain people, by killing them, and turning them into meat pies with the help of Mrs Lovett.

Sweeney Todd was once Benjamin Barker, who was wrongly accused and sent to prison for 15 years. After his release, he plans his revenge on the Judge (played by Professor Snape from Harry Potter) and also his assistant (played by Peter Pettigrew from Harry Potter), and many other unfortunate customers. Lol.

Unfortnately, I can't connect with any of the songs from this movie. =/. Expect lots of blood and some gore in this musical.

Okay, so as part of my new rebellious nature thanks to my mom's decision, I have been going out everyday for hours. Went gaming, pool, bowling, movies, lepak, etc etc.

Today, we went to watch P2, a thriller about a girl who was stalked in a carpark on Christmas eve.

Well, you can imagine what happens.

I recommend this movie to all you girls out there, especially the "new generation" gurls who think that they are super cool and can do lame slutty stuff." Yeah, you out there.

My F***ed Up Life

Ok, so my mom finally allowed me to pursue my dream studies, ie Music, at the end of last year. But it wasn't all smooth sailing of course. There was always constant debates and arguments among us because she wanted me to do a "proper" degree. To her, music doesn't really count as one. Speaking of "in the box". zzz.

So 2 days ago, we had that argument again, and this time, it got real huge. Finally, she totally disallowed me from doing the music degree. See how fooktoop it is?

So now, I'm stuck looking for a new degree to do (that I have no interest in whatsoever). And, when I do start, I'll be months behind my peers. For a person who hates lagging behind, this really sux big time.

Yeah, don't look away man, seriously. This album rawks. Most of you from my country would not have heard of her. She's a new artist who started posting her songs on MySpace (Colbie Caillat anyone?)

Her album was released middle of last year. I think it's really great. Kind of a cross-over between KT Tunstall and Michelle Branch, and her voice does sound a little like Carrie Underwood.

Go give her a listen, especially songs like Chicago, Only Fooling Myself, One Way or Another... and the list goes on...

Maroon 5 The B-Side Collection

This album was released in December as a digital-only copy on iTunes. It contains 7 tracks, those that did not make the cut for Maroon 5's second album It Won't Be Soon Before Long.

I am quite surprised that half of them did not make the cut because they are really great. Try out Infatuation, The Way I Was, Until You're Over Me and Story.
