After his final performance on Idol, David Cook's live recordings of Dream Big, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and The World I Know, took over the
iTunes charts, knocking off top singles from
Rihanna, and even Leona Lewis.
After he was announced the winner, Cook's winning single The Time of My Life, also went straight to number one and sold like hot pancakes.
But, that wasn't his greatest feat yet. Soon after, Cook debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 3 - one of the best
achieved by an Idol.
And that's not all. Along with that number 3 song, he had 16 other songs on the chart. 11 of which were on the Top 100 list. Which means that, David Cook had a total of 17 songs on the US Billboard simultaneously, beating the record held by The Beatles which was 14 songs. ^^
I shudder to think how many albums he will sell. Hope it'll be an awesome debut. =D
